Hi, I’m Jen, a Tasmanian painter based on the North West Coast. I’m am heavily inspired by our four legged canine companions. Their personalities, kindness and loyalty are second to none and worth immortalising.

I first began focusing my work on dog portraits after the loss of my best friend; Clive - a black Labrador with a heart of gold. He was there for me through the good and bad times, never judging, never faltering in his friendship. The day I had to say goodbye is still one of the hardest days of my life and even after a decade the hurt is still there.

I don’t think that my paintings could ever erase the hurt of that loss but I hope that when gifted with the opportunity to memorialise your canine friend that it helps ease that loss by creating something as unique as they are to hold onto forever.

My work is realistic with a loose touch, trying to guide in elegance and emotion.
