About me…..
Hi, I’m Jen, a Tasmanian artist living and creating on the beautiful North West Coast of Tasmania. Surrounded by wild landscapes and a slower pace of life, I find constant inspiration in the animals—both wild and domestic—that share this planet with us.
I work primarily in oil paint, but I also enjoy exploring mixed media when the mood strikes.
Animals have always been at the heart of what I create — their personalities, their stories, and their connection to us as humans. But if I had to choose a favorite subject, it would hands-down be dogs. Their loyalty, expression, and individuality make them endlessly inspiring to paint. Whether it's a playful pup, a wise old soul, or a beloved companion who's passed on, I love capturing that spark that makes each dog unique.
I like to think of myself as a quiet activist—letting my paintings speak on behalf of those who can’t. If my work can make someone pause, reflect, or see animals in a new light, then that’s something I’m proud of.
Over the years, I've developed a real passion for painting portraits, and I’m always honoured when someone trusts me to paint them a custom piece of art. If you're a dog/cat/tiger/hyena (any animal really) lover looking for a meaningful, custom artwork — or a gift for someone who is — I’d love to hear from you.
I'm currently open for commissions, so feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat about a portrait idea or learn more about my process.
Thanks for stopping by!
